Some Recent Club Events:

• Going to the airport and greeting overseas troops coming home for some R&R or rotating back to the U.S.
• Working with Brookhaven Boys and Girls Club.
• Working with the Simon Youth Foundation, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the transitional Housing Project, the Truancy Intervention Program, and various youth oriented programs.


Meetings:

We meet every Friday morning between 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM at the Wing Factory in Chastain Shopping Center in Atlanta Georgia.

“...Welcome to the Optimist Club of Carrollton,Georgia, a close knit club that is growing rapidly. The purpose of our club is to bring out the best in kids!...” Taylor Ash, President.


Some Recent Club Events:


•  Oratorical and Essay Contests, Children’s Theater, Clothing for the Growing, we give $100 to “at risk” children for back to school clothing and school supplies. In August, we were able to do this for 26 children.
• Optimist Golf Tournament; where our JOOI club helped us run the tournament, and for most of these children it was their first time at a country club.
• University of West Georgia - Wolves Basketball Game Concessions at the Coliseum.

Meetings:

We meet at noon every Thursday at American Pie Pizzeria in Carrollton for lunch and fellowship.
